Spouse got a letter for fingerprint appointment.
I'm still waiting ...not sure if I would need to get fingerprints done??

I am in the same situation. I efiled on 05/14 and sent docs on 05/19. Got FP notice for wife only - that came almost 10 days back. No FP notice for me...My PD is same as urs.. not sure why did they not send FP notice for primary applicant?

I just renew my passport at Houston, TX. It takes about 3 weeks. After so many tries, I was able to speak with CSR and she told me that it will take 3 weeks (this is standard processing time). I have received my new passport along with the old last week.

You can take these at any Hospitals or Clinic. They are quiet costly but my insurance covered them 100%.
From my understanding you need all these completed to be able to file I485, when ever that may be.......

Enough is enough. I am ready to sign this.
I have 3 real names. All were working for Cognizant. One had 3 years of exp. Cooked up with 4 years of B.Tech and totalled it as 7 years. Came on L1 as PM and applied in EB1. He got GC in less than 1 year. Other 2 had real 7 years exp and got GC's in 8 months. All were working at Client's place and NOT intra company transfers.
I am not selfish. But I am sure this guy with 3 years exp may one day become a boss for any of us.
This misuse will hurt the genuine cases. Shall we we go serious and complaint? I am ready to sign and submit all the proof.
Actually I have heard of another cognizant case. But that was through a friend's friend chain so I am not sure how reliable it was. But seems like cognizant has been following this practice a lot.

IV's main goal is to clear the green card backlog...do you share this goal and believe in it? if yes...then contribute...even if you fully don't agree with how IV operates or responds
As you are well aware there are not too many organisations pursuing this cause so you can either help this one...or sit back and hope that one day Lawmakers will out of the goodness of their hearts do the right thing...lol you know that ain't gonna happen...with IV you have a bunch of others co-ordinating towards pushing Lawmakers for change

But not much happened. Even I have personally called people around five - six times and asked people to support. Though they are languishing in the GC line, they couldn�t find any time to visit IV. What would you call a person when he is saying for various reasons not to meet the law maker�s staff in their local office? They are able to find various reasons for not to meet but couldn�t find even a single reason and time to meet once but still questioning others work/ effort. Are they just making fun of us or do they just think they are doing a favor for others?
If one genuinely interested to work on the issues there are various ways to do that. Sitting and complaining about others is not going to help but just irritate others

We must also help ourselves by our individual efforts like writing to change.gov etc.. Lets not put all the 6 pages of ideas in just one basket. Since there is difference between eggs and ideas, duplicate the ideas and put them in other ways also, apart from just here.

Canadians don't have as many problems as Indians, but a broken system doesn't work for anyone. I know of Canadians who are also very frustrated with the system, myself included.

Teddy. The intention of such post is to tell people that they need to look beyond spending time on predictions. Predictions can help people know the extent of the backlog. For some it is a motivating factor because they were in the dark until USCIS started publishing data. People used to think their Greencard is round the corner and had no idea about the backlog. So yes the data and estimations have helped get a clearer picture. And this has benefited our community. IV has worked for several months to get the data from USCIS through its agenda item in the past. Today USCIS is publishing data at regular intervals because IV community had participated in a mass campaign to get FOIA data from USCIS. There is a whole history of advocacy behind the data everyone is using for prediction today and it was advocacy that got things done. However they should not get stuck with it and have a more 360 degree view of the issue. For some predictions are a source of encouragement for advocacy work. People leading predictions can play an important role in giving direction to others and help solve the root cause of the problem.They should be urged use it for the advocacy work as well if possible. For example a good research document can be made to illustrate visually the extent of backlogs and wait times. This document can be then circulated to media and lawmaker offices. Do not look at predictions in isolation. Secondly, the data people are using is still incomplete and has lot of assumptions. I had posted some update on the data in the donor forum early this month based on a recent meeting. So predictions we see on the forums will not be fully correct. People need to use predictions as means rather than consider it as an end.
That is exactly why these are known as PREDICTIONS.

your anguish is so very legitimate. i, for one, feel truly bad for you.
you deserved relief and nothing has come so far.
there is no harm in venting your frustration on a thread, i don't think anyone can blame you for feeling screwed.
but peace friends, iv's fight is not over by a long shot. we stand together for relief for all- including you. i hope that BEC releases the approvals quickly, and you guys will certainly be current. in fact you will have GC long before many filing 485's now.
let's keep working, keep lobbying, keeping fighting the good fight and please don't despair. we are all with you.

Eliminate EAD renewals every year. This will reduce the paper work and hence improve performance. Unless people change their jobs, there should be no need to renew.

Oh Angel....please help me....i have been waiting in the Q for a long long time....can u kindly...expedite my GC......first i was a Kutta....now due to the itches all over....caused by wait for my GC i have become what my name indicates.....:D
