However, the offer letter has a clause that is a bit strange and raised some doubts in my mind. Experienced people please comment and let me know if it has a risky hidden meaning. Please note I am not going to take any trainings and would start to work immediately with one of their clients. The clause goes like this.
No problem these bonds etc clauses are unenforcable in court and
only act as deterrant against people leaving. Its a dog that barks not bites.
So you can sign and start working. Even teh good consultant have these types of clauses.

How was the response? I have contacted the following " The Hindu, Deccan chronicle and some telugu and kannada newspapers and TV news channels" so far no responses, I am planning to speak to my dad and his friends (they retired from the news media recently) to get some responses, but whats the point. The July 2nd fiasco was very well publicized in India, rural India too, even a small village or mandal office issuing birth certificates knew abt the visa bulletin and its reversal!!! and what do we have now...non committal friends who are not interested to come to the rally and some even make fun of it!!

ramus, follow my posts in the past 20 days and you will see i have posted many posts for this AP expedite. I have a travel coming up shortly and I had only exactly 90 days from the date of application and date of travel. My application was approved recently along with my spouse. There is even a post where I listed out all the steps I took to expedite and finally finally only the local congressman phone to USCIS helped. its just unbelievable, but its possible. I have tickets that even if you postpone the journey I will lose money. I said to myself enough we lose with USCIS, and so decided to take all and any steps to expedite and get it done. just follow my posts (like start reading my past 20 posts) and I am sure you will find it useful. Was this is a change in the procedures of USCIS? If yes, could we not request them to increase the length of the EAD from 1 to 5 years? This will help many of us too. I need to get my DL renewed every year along with the EAD.
Well there was court case related what constitues the 6 years where court said that only period of stay on H1b in US (so period of stay outside US on H1b) doesnt count.
So the law didnt change its the interpreation of law that was changed by the court case.
Same logic goes with H4 (they dont work on H1B ) so it was a matter of time someone would also challenge that on court and win.

Here are a few reasons why I want to get the gc:
1) freedom to change jobs to make a higher salary so that I don't have to work two H1 jobs simultaneously
2) freedom to change your career track into another area, which cannot be done even with AC21 (job has to be essentially the same position)
3) freedom to travel out of the country and back in without going to Canada/Mexico each year for revalidation, for not only personal but even urgent busines trips. I get to see my family and friends, and not spend hundreds of $ in govt and legal fees
4) freedom to quit a job because the company/boss sucks
5) freedom to make enough money so that I can take a break from any job for a while (yes, this is actually a possibility if you have a well-enough paying job)
6) freedom to have one's dependents take advantage of benefits like in-state tuition, and other benefits residency brings
7) and finally freedom from the immense stress that I will lose my job and consequently all the time I have spent waiting for my gc, perhaps uproot myself and have to return to a place where I may not necessarily feel is home anymore
So am I doing what I really want?

I guess black Americans could have said something similar 200 years ago: as long as I am fed by my master, he provides me with a roof over my head, and I work hard, I should be happy.
Today they would still be slaves.
To misquote Orwell: America is a free country, but some people are freer than others.

Does anyone know how Quebec compares to Ontario. Specifically Montreal to Toronto. Economically, culturaly, etc.?

I would say Ontario (Ottawa or maybe Toronto) is better compared to Quebec with regards to immigrants.
In Quebec, if you cant speak French, you are frowned upon. Yeah, yeah i can hear the Montrealers saying they speak both French and English, but the reality is that Quebec only likes people who are French. I heard some racist remarks while walking in the downtown, not uncommon. For some ignoramuses, every colored person is a "bangladeshi" and hurl racist abuses. I was very shocked to say the least...Isolated incident, but not uncommon.
Bottomline, if you wanna life like u had in the US, better Ontario than Quebec or even BC.

EB2 cannot combine education or work experience. It must show a single source degree.
Note the following information from the 2006 annual conference of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) in San Antonio, Texas. "For employment-based immigrant visa purposes (aka green card), the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will not equate a three-year diploma plus a post-baccalaureate diploma as being the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor's Degree for either EB-2 or EB-3 classification. Additionally, the USCIS does not accept a combination of academic background and work experience as being the equivalent of a U.S. Bachelor's Degree for "green card" purposes"
This can be done for EB3 IF it was stated on the labor certificate.
