CLearly he was trying to scam people, even his first couple of sentances in the discription were worded in a way to make you think it was an actual phone.
The iphone is finally out for Verizon! I couldn't wait to get one, and thanks to a buy one get one free deal I have an extra one! Don't miss your chance to own one of these! Best phone with the best network. This auction is for a photo of an iPhone only, no phone included. Don't worry about shipping, it's free to the lower 48 states! if you live outside of this region please contact me ahead of time and let me know, I'll calculate additional shipping. Thanks!

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.
Battery life in 4.3 and 4.3.1 has been noticeably worse than in previous versions of iOS. As measured by my iPhone 3GS and my son's iPod Touch 4th gen. Stock devices, not jailbroken, not unlocked.

yes, probably. Since I was already on 10.5.8 before I installed CHUD. Uninstall it thru the remover that it came with, and reinstall after your update to 10.5.8. It is better if you download the 10.5.8 combo that update it using the Apple Software Updater.

I agree with most comments, the claims by Samsung seem a stretch. I live in Korea and the Koreans are very loyal to local suppliers and Samsung is not happy with how successful the iPhone is in Korea. Even the local prefer the iPhone over the Samsung phones in Korea. After living here a few years I will never buy Korean products again. They are great at copying, and keeping it all within the country even if it increases cost. I hope Apple succeed in finding other suppliers but I think so many companies have helped Samsung get to big and dominant so it will be hard to find memory and cpu suppliers other than Samsung.
I have used Samsung phones in Korea, they are not great - My Nokia was way better than every Samsung phone I ever had. Samsung phones JUST work, they do not perform. My new iPhone looks better, performs (speed and application wise) better than the Samsung phones I have owned but it drops more calls. Here's an example of how much Koreans refuse to accept Apple, You cannot use a Mac in Korea and do internet shopping or banking. Every website requires a special active X control that only works in IE.
Even in Korea the locals know Samsung copied Apple, when you go to electronics markets the sales people try sell Samsung products saying its "just like Apple iPad/iPhone/iPod and its Korean made so its better"
I really hope Samsung get burnt on this one.

Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor) does dictate that the explanation Apple has offered up is the most likely. Unlike what some other blogs have been claiming (:cough: Gizmodo :cough: ) it's unlikely that Apple meant to leave an unencrypted tracking database available on each phone.
Further, I examined a map of my iPhone's database and there were some unexplained blobs. Unexplained that is until I read Apple's description, and then it all fit. I flew through Atlanta 4 times in the past year, spending a total of a couple of hours there. My mapped blobs on Atlanta were much larger than the entire weeks I spent in Montana and Wyoming. The only way this makes sense is if the data is actually crowdsourced, which is exactly what Apple claims.
So I see little reason to disbelieve today's statements. (Unless you are inclined towards conspiracy theories, which an unfortunately high % of our population seem to be.)

iPhone 4 for both me and the girlfriend. We decided to consolidate our phone bills, and FaceTime was a primary deciding factor for her. Decided to keep it light on the gifts this year with the addition of a new car, apartment/furniture, and a puppy.

Which is kind of hard on such a restricted and limited platform. There would be more useful software for the iPad if it ran a 'real' operating system like Mac OS X -- meaning full file system access and not being tied into ONE App Store with arbitrary rules for what a program is allowed to do.
The iOS architecture of firewalling file system access for each application makes huge sense: it eliminates the means by which malware can attack the data of other programs. Apple could relax those rules at some point; the greatest speculation I hear is that there will be a DMZ where files could be moved from one app to another. This is a far better strategy than having a promiscuous operating system and try to add the protection afterwards.
What exact app store rules do you think are arbitrary, Winni?

Sorry, you're just compounding fallacy upon fallacy. This is plainly incorrect. Your first post has a graph showing Social Security is unfunded, this is clearly not true as I have already provided evidence for. Your attempt to
...means little when you're posting misleading information in the first place in order to make a scare-mongering argument about deficit reduction.
Is the US screwed? No. I've already told you why.
As for your misleading graph about taxes and revenue, note that they dropped from 9.4% to 6.7% over a 30 year period, a decline of almost one third.
Which of my 'fallacies' about SS do you specifically deny? None I'm guessing.
Also, it's not my fault that you don't understand what 'unfunded liabilities' are. It doesn't even compete with your point about SS being 'ok' for another 15 years. Unfunded liablities are calculated traditionally on a 75 year basis... to determine the long-term viability of various government programs. So, as the chart clearly states that in the next 75 years (~ the life of your children) the system will be short 7.9 Trillion dollars. Meaning, for the same payouts to continue, we'll have to come up with that amount of money to cover the difference. This difference is caused by a lessening number of payers and an increasing number of receivers... as I mentioned earlier when pointing out accurately how SS is a ponzi scheme.

As expected, FedEx delivered my shuffle this morning.
The pictures don't do it justice. The thing is really smaller than you think it is, even looking at the pictures. So far I'm rather pleased.
do you have any pics of your own??!?!?!

Today I plugged in my iPod nano. Usually my iPod will appear and start to sync but instead a box appeared and says "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes"
I clicked on the Restore button and when it is finished, the same box pops up telling me that I need to restore it. I tried several times and nothing is working. I dont know what is going on and i have tried everything.
If anyone knows what to do I will be very thankful !!
