You do not always have a LUD on your 485 when your EAD/AP is processed. I have had 4 such applications so far, my wife likewise. Once, out of these 8 times(Collectively for both of us) there was an LUD and subsequently an easily cleared up RFE(about current job) for me.
LUDs on 485 are more frequent when you are about to get biometrics notice or when they are processing your file or before your petition is approved.

You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.

Now my question is, did they ask you to submit the newspaper ad some point after your manager/lawyer submited your LC application online? It seems like you sent the just ad part and they were not satisfied with it and asked more evidence and you sent the whole page again. Did they deny your LC after you sent the whole page ad or what point did they deny it?

I work as a consultant for one of the big 5 firms implementing SAP applications. What is the job code referenced for this job? I want to know the job category it falls under as per the Dictionary of Occupation Title or the O*Net published by DOL. My company did not provide me this information but any help will be greatly appreciated.

If your case was filed under PERM process then I remember, few months back I saw an access database floating around in a forum which had the information on companies who filed LC for which position during end of 2005-2006 period. Rightly it did not have any information on candidates. I cannot remember where did I find it.
We can all speculate what it would be but not sure. We also do not know why do you need this info and what is your current status with regard to GC...

I have not had a very good experience mailing documents to CGI. I would advise against it based on the time crunch we are facing here....
If you go in person and get it done..that would be most optimal..and worry free.

I came to Montreal for H1/H4 stamping for my wife and two sons. My interview date was 3/18 and they told me it will take abt. 10 days and now its almost over 20 days and no news from them. I am EB3-PD 8/03-I-140/EAD Approved. FP also done. Can you pls. let me know if they asked you any questions or you had any comunication with them after your interview? In my case they kept all our passports, Originals of our H1/H4/EAD approvals/Letter from the employer also.
I had also done the stamping from Toronto in 2005 without any problem. Is this a PIMS related issue?

I am currently looking for a job and I have a US Master's degree. I am stuck in this retrogression and my lawyer applied for EB3, and I have no choice but looking for another job that requires me a M.S. with higher salary so I could apply for EB2
Do you know where I can see which is the minimum wage for applying as EB2?? I remember in my Labor certification there was a place where I used to check minimal wage requirements.
I am rest of the world, and having an EB2 application will let me jump out of the retrogression if EB2 continues to be available

I have seen people talking about getting approvals with misdemeanors, but each case may be different. Murthy.com forums has a special section for people dealing with misdemeanor issues and have gone through the process, may be you will get some more tips about preparing for the interview there. However, given the current situation, it really doesn't matter - if you are born in India, you are in for a long wait in either category.
Your best bet is to first educate yourself about the process, discuss with peers, friends and employers, about the endless wait, and then work with them to bringing about a change in govt. policy and possibly some change in the law.
Im hearing that most of Indian filers filed for EB2 which has lead to EB2 demand outstripping EB3.
So of the two tortoises EB3 might move faster than EB2.
Any comments ?

Take infopass, go with your welcome notice, get 551 stamp - it will allow you to travel until you get the physical card. Usually, 551 stamp is valid 1 year from the date of stamping.
I know some people who have traveled using 551 stamp in the past. They had to go through secondary inspection, carried all their docs with them, but everything went fine.

It appears there was a problem with the website status update. Today my attorney received a letter that my MTR has been approved. I guess my I-485 is back on track now.
