Ditto here. We need to give them specific case# to look into in the next phase of the campaign.
I received the same thing. A canned reply asking to use their phone lines for inquiries. They returned my original envelope as well as my letter :rolleyes:

PD porting is another labor sub in making. I hope I have presented my case logically to show who all are the people who are in position to be benefitted by this rule. Of course there will be some genuine cases too but on other hand think about the people in Eb2 line that will be severely affected.
See, that's the reason I think the lawsuit idea has issues. I suspect the lawsuit may end up making life difficult for a lot of genuine cases without actually achieving what you set out to achieve.
But I have no data one way or the other.

It seems more and more cases are getting pre-adjudicated. This is something we all knew but its good to see its pace in a nice little chart. I like these new USCIS site improvements

Its just sad that when it comes to processing immigration applications, we are too many. But when it comes to contributions or calling senators and sending emails, WE ARE TOO FEW :confused:

I received a phone call (WOW!) from a sweet lady from CIS Ombudsman's office. I sent letters to his office and in the letter I mentioned my cell #. Anyway she wants a real person who got deniel. I told her that my friend got deniel (IVens are my fried). Anyway, she sent an email too after I asked her to give her info so that my friend can send her his case details. Unfortunately, the email I received shortly after the conversation, looks like general and does not have her ID. Please PM me if you like to hera more about the phone call.

What are u guys trying to acheive and how will this help EB3 India?
Also, how is the spillover going to be distributed among EB3? First EB3 ROW and then EB3 C/I as in the old system?
Personally, I think the visa recapture bill would help things quite a bit.

I am really surprised by the meek response...what is wrong with everyone?? We have just abt 54 letters so far and almost 200 members online right now !!!
If you are reading this but have not written a letter yet, please answer one question for me:
What is the least effort that you can put towards your immigration?
If you cannot write or type a letter, i'm afraid you don't belong to the "Hard working, highly skilled" immigrants that is being referred to in the letter.
Please send me a Private message with your name and deatils and I can write up and post a letter for you....its is actually going to be for me as I am benefitting from this campaign...i don't mind if you get the benefits in the process.
I have the capacity for 3 hand written letters per day...and I am dead serious. We need numbers and a meagre 100 letters are going to get lost amongst thousands of letters that are received at Whitehouse everyday.

I received a SR reply in mail that my case is under additional review . MY pd is sep 05 and i am so frustrated. They also asked to check back after 4 - 9 months. Is there any body in that situation and what else can be done .. please advice..

Quick question -
What about people with DUI etc? Do they stuck in Name Check Process? I take it the process is different them and they have to go through clerance for Finger Prints.

IMO, stopping and working against fraud can be a bullet point in IV's portfolio. It could help IV while discussing issues with lawmakers.

Technicaly you should possess only one I-94. So when USCIS asks for a copy you should submit only the latest. If you submit extra copies you will create more confusion why you possess more than one I-94. My advice just send them the one that is valid and latest. USCIS can determine you live in this country legally from your records including ur passport, I-797, I-20 past EADS etc.
I-94s are submitted at the airport when you leave the country. In many cases there are no I-94s coz they have been submitted and no one thought of making copies of them before travelling out of country. I am sure I dont have all the I-94s that I ever used. I submitted them at the airport when I went out and didnt make copies.

On Friday, I got SMS from USCIS that my case is updated and I should check status online. I checked my email. I was happy :) to see an email from USCIS and opened it excitedly with butterfly in stomach. Well it said..
"Your Case Status: Request for Evidence
On September 10, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires...........

Appreciate your helpful attitude towards others who are struggling with USCIS process.
After the infopass for me and my wife, we had multiple soft/hard luds and status changed to case moved to local office.
Received mail that we would be called for interview.
Wish they get this fast when the dates are current.
